Our Research

We are dedicated to finding the knowledge needed to get in front of cancer. The exceptional work of our research move us closer to achieving this goal every day.
CPIC scientists confront cancer in a number of different ways:

  • Tracking a large number of healthy people to document their lifestyles and experiences before cancer ever happens.
  • Recruiting patients diagnosed with cancer to examine the causes of cancer, and differences in outcomes and survivorship.
  • Collecting, enhancing and analyzing key cancer information through the Greater Bay Area Cancer Registry.
  • Partnering with leading national and international cancer organizations.

How We Share Our Findings

Our scientists are frequent contributors to major scientific journals, and often present their findings at important cancer-related conferences. CPIC research has been covered by numerous local, national and international media outlets, such as The New York Times and The Washington Post.
