Research Interests

  • Building robust models of the relationships of complex, interrelated exposures and outcomes
  • Adapting ensemble methods, such as random forests and boosting, to epidemiologic problems with complex, high-dimensional exposures
  • Developing methods for analyzing health risk related to air pollution exposures using spatiotemporal exposure surfaces created by combining data from air monitoring devices and simulation-based models of hazardous air pollutant exposures
  • Combining complex spatial exposure data with temporal data on residential history
  • Accounting for multiple sources of spatiotemporal uncertainty
