The Cancer Prevention Institute of California (formerly the Northern California Cancer Center) is hosting its 6th Annual African American Breast Cancer Conference, a program for and about the community that is intended to help raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection in African American communities in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding communities, with a special focus on mind, body, and spiritual healing.  This community event is co-sponsored by the Women's Cancer Resource Center, in partnership with the Alameda County Medical Center's Cancer Navigator Program and the American Cancer Society.

EORO is the only event of its kind in the state of California designed to address the unique concerns and needs of African American women of all ages related to breast cancer awareness and education, in addition to providing culturally appropriate information and resources to encourage women to make informed decisions about their health and empower them to become advocates for themselves, their loved ones, and others in their communities.  The dissemination and sharing of this important breast health information by community members supports our program theme of "Each One, Reach One…".
