Allison Taylor Holbrooks/Barbara Jo Johnson Breast Cancer Conference: Beyond Breast Cancer 

 
 

The 10th Annual Conference for breast cancer survivors, family, friends, and medical professionals provided information about: Clinical Updates; the Environment and Cancer; Nutrition, and Lifestyle and Physical Activity. Afternoon breakout sessions included: Treatment of DCIS; Sexual Function and Intimacy; Triple Negative Breast Cancer; The Art of Reconstruction; Genetics and Family Risk; Mood, Hormones, and Depression; Family and Patient Issues; Managing Treatment Side Effects; Living with Metastatic Disease; and Lymphedema. Speakers represent California Pacific Medical Center, The Alexander Foundation for Women’s Health, Stanford, Mills-Peninsula Health Services, Palo Alto Medical Foundation, UCSF, and private practices; two cancer survivors will also participate. A resource room with information and services from community groups and vendors was available.
